3,300 PCR tests yielded a total of 114 new cases, giving a positivity level of around 3,4%.
Of the 114 new cases, 29 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 10 to Cartagena, 8 to Alhama de Murcia, 7 to Cieza, 7 to Lorca, 7 to San Pedro del Pinatar, 6 to San Javier, 5 to Fuente Álamo, 5 to Torre Pacheco and the remainder are distributed around the region in smaller quantities.
The number of active cases has continued to fall however, as the number of recoveries exceeds the quantity of new cases, so we now have 1,289 active cases in the region and 102,720 recovered patients.
However, the fatalities continue and in the last 24 hours a further 12 patients have died fom Covid-19; ten men and two women aged 53, 97, 79, 89, 65, 70, 86, 84, 67, 60, 95 and 84; three from Murcia, two from Yecla, two from Alcantarilla and the reminder from Totana, San Javier, Lorca, Mula and Las Torres de Cotillas, bringing the fatalities total up to 1,431.
AI rate remains low
The low level of new diagnoses means that the accumulated incidence rate per 100,000 of population over the last 7 days has now fallen to 55 and the 14 day rate to 146.
Ulea remains by far and away the worst affected municipality with a rate of 1373 cases per 100,000 over the last 14 days. All other municipalities are below the 500 cases level.
The target for the pandemic to be considered under control is 60 cases over 14 days and 25 over 7, so there is still a long way to go!
