Click HereThe annual Romería Rociera al Molino del Saltaor in Águilas was celebrated over the weekend with great enthusiasm as the event had to be cancelled in both 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, with fine weather playing its part as participants joined the route on foot, on horseback and in horse-drawn carriages.
Following the 10.00 Mass on Saturday the next port of call was the Town Hall, from where Mayoress Mari Carmen joined in on the way to the Guardia Civil headquarters for a floral offering. Then it was onwards to the Molino del Saltaor, where the group arrived after 6 o’clock for the evening torchlit procession and a night under the stars (or canvas!).
After early morning Mass on Sunday it was time for dancing and merry-making before the revellers headed home to Águilas in the early evening, ready to join in again next year!
