Awards Ceremony for the Second Drawing Competition - Domingo Valdivieso Painting the Sea
The ceremony will take place at the Casa de Cultura on Wednesday, January 31 at 6.00 pm
The educational and cultural community of Mazarrón is pleased to announce the celebration of the awards ceremony and the inauguration of the exhibition of the II Drawing Contest 'Domingo Valdivieso Pintando el Mar'. This event, organised by the IES 'Domingo Valdivieso' in collaboration with Mazarrón Town Council’s Department of Culture will take place at the Casa de Cultura on Wednesday, January 31 at 6.00 pm.
The contest, now in its second edition, has invited all young people in the municipality who are in secondary education to participate, with the aim of fostering their interest in art and offering them a platform to express their creative abilities. This year, the central theme has been 'Painting the Sea', inspiring participants to explore and represent the beauty and importance of the maritime environment that characterises the region.
The awards ceremony promises to be an exciting event, where the talent and dedication of the young artists of Mazarrón will be recognised. The winners will be rewarded for their creativity, technique and unique vision in addressing the theme of the sea, an element so deeply rooted in our local identity.
After the award ceremony, the exhibition of the selected works will be inaugurated, offering the community the opportunity to appreciate the art of the young talents of our municipality. The exhibition will be a testament to the creative potential of the students and will serve as inspiration for future generations of artists in Mazarrón.
