ARCHIVED - Bus services on coastal routes increase for summer
Frequencies have increased on Cartagena-La Manga, Cartagena Playa Honda etc.
On Wednesday summer bus routes were presented for some of the Murcia city routes, but during the presentation the increase in other summer services was also highlighted.
Since July 1st, schedules have been increased on the lines that connect coastal municipalities with the capital, such as Bolnuevo-Puerto de Mazarrón-Murcia, Los Narejos-Los Urrutias-Murcia and Águilas with Lorca and Murcia .
From July 6th the daily service that connects Cartagena and La Manga was also more than doubled, and weekend schedules were doubled. In addition, the summer service linking Cartagena and Playa Honda, and Cabo de Palos with Veneciola has been reactivated, and bus frequencies between Cartagena and Mazarrón increased.
Routes connecting the municipalities of Abarán, Cieza, Moratalla, Jumilla and Yecla with the city of Murcia have also increased for the summer, in addition to the Guazamara-Lorca line, which covers local demand in some Lorca districts such as La Campana, Pozo Higuera, La Escarihuela, La Listen, Purias and Campillo.
The best place to contact if you do want detailed information about bus routes is the nearest local tourist office as they generally carry timetables for all local routes. These do change seasonally, and are run by a number of different operators, so it is advisable to contact these local information points for local routes information. This summer many of the routes which link urbanisations into other routes are not running due to the Covid situation so it’s advisable to check with these offices.Click tourist offices Murcia
