ARCHIVED - Eighth consecutive day with Covid deaths in Malaga despite drop in incidence rate
There is still one town in Málaga province that has Level 1 alert restrictions
After the spike reported after the weekend, coronavirus in Málaga province is down again. Although it may seem that Covid is practically under control despite the small fluctuations that have been occurring daily, yesterday was the eighth day in a row that there has been at least one death in the province of Málaga.
With the latest reported death, there are now 1,989 people who have died from the disease in the province, even as the 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants has fallen.
The only town in Málaga province that is still on Level 1 alert and (not Level 0 like the rest of the province) is Valle del Guadalhorce because they have an incidence rate of over 50. Specifically, the incidence rate there is 51.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, so the town still retains restrictions on capacity in public establishments and on opening hours in shops and bars, unlike the rest of Málaga which currently has no restrictions.
