ARCHIVED - New golfing school and course opening in the Region of Murcia
The new course is located near the Altorreal golf resort in Murcia
The municipality of Molina de Segura, just outside of Murcia city, is going to be home to the Region’s new federated golf course from October 30: the MontePríncipe Golf School.
The course is ideally located just kilometres away from the capital city and close to the largest social golf club in the Region, Golf Altorreal. Several public and private schools are also in the area, which is ideal for initiating young golfers into the sport.
Up to now, the Region of Murcia only had one active pitch and putt (at the Torre Pacheco Golf Club), but the new installations have a pitch and putt as well as a putting green, a training area, nine holes and a snack bar.
This new installation, which will be managed by the Golf Federation in the Region of Murcia and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation for the next 20 years, is expected to be the new epicentre of golf-related learning in the Region, as well as being a meeting point for golfing newbies, amateurs and professionals.
Several activities and competitions are already planned at the MontePríncipe Golf School including the VI Senior Circuit in the Region of Murcia on November 6.
