San Javier Recycling and Selective Waste Disposal
Eco-parks and a free furniture collection service
San Javier council is committed to protecting the environment, which is why considerable effort is made by the council to make recycling as easy as possible for its residents and visitors. In addition to the blue, yellow and green recycling containers that can be found on almost every main street, collecting paper and cardboard, glass, tins and "brick" drink cartons, there are also two recycling and waste disposal centres, or eco-parks which accept a wide range of household goods and unwanted materials.
There are also olive oil collection bins, and special containers for unwanted clothing or children's toys and some supermarkets also collect batteries for recycling.

The eco-parks accept any material that cannot be disposed of in the standard containers, such as voluminous items or harmful chemicals, including paint tins.
Opening hours: Both centres are open Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.
FURNITURE AND HOME GOODS COLLECTION SERVICE
When disposing of furniture or other home goods (electrical appliances, ornaments etc.), the town hall provides a free collection and disposal service for those who are unable to take their item(s) to one of the eco-parks.
For more information or to arrange a collection, call 968 19 18 01.
