Indoor swimming pool (closed July and August)

The large sports centre in San Javier has an excellent range of facilities available catering for both indoor and outdoor activities of all levels and regular classes for children from as young as 2.

There are several outdoor tennis and padel courts available for hire as well as a wide range of fitness classes including indoor cycling, zumba, yoga, karate and tai chi. Other activities include a boot camp class and personal defence classes.

Many clubs and associations are run from the sports centre, including petanca, canoeing, rugby, padel, mountaineering, archery, taekwondo etc. All of these are held in Spanish: ask at reception for contact details.

A well-equipped gymnasium is complemented by indoor and outdoor swimming pools for all ages, with weekly classes including water polo, aqua gym, aqua aerobics and aqua yoga.

The Sports centre also offers attractive fitness packages which include use of swimming pool, gymnasium and some classes. Again, ask for details at the sports centre.

Swimming and water polo courses and classes are also available.

The outdoor pool is only open during July and August, when the indoor pool is closed.

The large indoor pavilion is available for basketball, indoor football and dance classes and volleyball and table tennis also catered for.

There is a cafeteria serving hot and cold food and drinks with an outside seating area close by.

Class times vary depending on the time of year and you are advised to check with the centre if you wish to book in advance.
