Valencia Airport celebrates busiest-ever summer with 110 routes and new destinations
New Scandinavian connections help strengthen Valencia's position as a leading Mediterranean gateway

Valencia Airport is preparing for its busiest summer on record, with flights to more than 75 international cities and a growing list of new destinations helping to boost the city's global connections.
According to Valencia City Council, the airport will operate 110 routes during the summer 2026 season, linking the city with 32 international markets through 40 different airlines. Nearly 4.7 million seats will be available, representing an 11% increase compared with last summer.
Tourism councillor and president of the Visit Valencia Foundation, Paula Llobet, described the expansion as a major step forward for the city.
"This summer we will connect for the first time with the four Scandinavian capitals, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, a milestone that strengthens our presence in one of the most sustainable and valuable markets for the destination," she said.
The addition of Helsinki marks the first direct connection between Valencia and the Finnish capital, with flights operated by Finnair. Rabat has also joined the airport's network for the first time, with Ryanair launching services to the Moroccan capital.
Several airlines have expanded their operations from Valencia this year. Wizz Air has introduced routes to London Luton, London Gatwick, Venice, Turin and Iași in Romania. Volotea has added Bordeaux and Lille to its schedule, while ITA Airways has launched a new connection to Rome.
Other additions include flights to Bucharest Bacău, Tel Aviv, Warsaw Modlin and Melilla.
Italy remains one of Valencia's best-connected markets, with direct flights to destinations including Rome, Milan, Venice, Naples, Bologna, Palermo and Verona.
Germany is also well represented, with services to Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart among others.
The UK continues to be one of Valencia's most important international markets, with flights to four London airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted, alongside connections to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh and East Midlands.
Travellers can also fly directly to a wide range of destinations in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and Switzerland.
Valencia's network continues to expand eastwards, with routes serving cities across Poland, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Latvia, Albania and Serbia.
North Africa also features strongly in the airport's summer schedule. Direct flights are available to Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Tangier, Rabat and Algiers, while Istanbul continues to provide an important link between Europe and Asia.
For travellers heading further afield, Valencia also maintains its direct connection with Montreal in Canada.
Alongside its growing international network, Valencia Airport continues to offer extensive connections within Spain.
Regular services operate to major cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Santander, Asturias, Seville and Málaga.
The airport also provides year-round links to some of Spain's most popular island destinations, including Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and both Tenerife airports.
