ARCHIVED - Jumilla indoor market remains open; support local shops during the Coronavirus lockdown
ARCHIVED ARTICLE
Shop locally and avoid unnecessary journeys
Jumilla municipal council urges residents to shop locally during the Coronavirus crisis, shortened journeys minimising the risk of spreading coronavirus and helping residents to comply with the terms of the national State of Emergency, fundamental to which is the principle of minimal resident movement.
The indoor market place remains open throughout the week and the town centre has an ample offering of small shops in which basic necessities can be purchased. Many shops deemed to offer non-essential products must remain closed throughout the period imposed by the State of Emergency which is valid until midnight on 11th April.
Please note that many shops offer a home delivery service.
Also remember that a decree limits the trading hours of all shops, which must close at 20:00, although many will opt to close by 19:00, the recommended closing time.
