Markets in Jumilla

Jumilla has a traditional indoor market and street market every Tuesday
Shopping in markets is always a pleasurable experience in Spain, with fresh produce, butchers, fishmongers, bakery and household items always available in indoor markets and a vast range of goods including clothing, fruit and veg in the weekly street markets.
Prices are generally very good as traders are competing for business, with friendly service and good quality part of the fun of buying fresh produce and goods from these traditional markets.
Plaza de Abastos or Mercado Central
The main indoor food market in Jumilla (Plaza de abastos or mercado central) is located between Avenida de Levante and Avenida de los Reyes Católicos in an attractive building with gardens on the northern side and a large car park on the other.
Weekly street market
There is also a weekly market every Tuesday in Avenida de Levante, Avenida de Reyes Católicos (see map above), Calle Fueros and Calle Valencia.
Street markets are generally open from 9.00 until lunchtime.
