Sunny start before cloud and showers return: Alicante weekend forecast for February 26-March 1
Clear skies and mild temperatures kick things off before cloud thickens and rain moves in as the weekend progresses

Sunny, bright days and mild temperatures continue, but it won't be all sunshine over the weekend as some unsettled weather is on the way. Cloud will gradually build over the next couple of days in the Alicante Province. There's a chance of rain or even thunderstorms on Sunday, so I hope you haven't packed away your winter wardrobe for good yet!
Thursday February 26

The skies will be mostly clear, but some coastal and nearby inland areas could see some cloud early on. Some areas may even wake up to mist or fog, which should clear quickly. Temperatures should continue to be mild, although some northern coastal areas may notice a moderate breeze pick up.
Friday February 27

Friday is expected to be bright and settled as well, with plenty of sunshine once some early cloud clears. Temperatures again will be much the same as the previous days. Winds will stay light and variable, though northern coastal towns could see some stronger winds pick up later in the day.
Saturday February 28

On Saturday, the cloud will become more noticeable, especially in the north of the Province, where there is even a chance of some rain. Elsewhere, it should stay mostly dry with a mix of cloud and brighter spells. Because of the cloud cover, it will naturally feel a little cooler, and a north-easterly wind will make it feel chilly at times along the coast.
Sunday March 1

The skies are likely to stay mostly cloudy with a higher likelihood of rain and thunderstorms in northern areas. Temperatures will edge down slightly again and will feel somewhat chilly overall throughout the day. There will be some east to north-easterly winds again along the coast.
So not a great start to March, but it won't be a complete washout at least. While it will be cloudy and a bit unsettled, there are no weather warnings in place at the moment. So make the most of the sun while it's around. Hopefully, the skies will clear enough on Saturday night to catch a glimpse of the rare planetary line-up that's due to appear.

Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante:
- Thursday February 26: Min 7ºC, Max 22ºC
- Friday February 27: Min 9ºC, Max 22ºC
- Saturday February 28: Min 8ºC, Max 20ºC
- Sunday March 1: Min 6ºC, Max 18ºC
