A tour of nativity scenes in the Jumilla in the north of Murcia

During the festive season Jumilla offers a route following the principal belenes (nativity scenes) of the municipality, some of which are in private family homes and can only be visited during the times listed below.

The municipal belén is in the Town Hall and there are also public belenes in the churches of San Juan Bautista, the Parroquia Mayor of Santiago and the Ethnographic Museum.

The route can be seen in the pdf of the Christmas programme (Click here) or collected in a printed format from the Tourist Information Office. The nativity scenes featured this year are the following: 

NACIMIENTO DE LA PARROQUIA DE SAN JUAN BAUTISTA

Location: Parish church of San Juan Bautista. Opening times: only during masses. ´

BELÉN DE PIEDRA DEL MUSEO ETNOGRÁFICO

Location: Museo Etnográfico, Plaza Constitución.

Opening times : Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00. Sundays and public holidays 11.00 to 14.00 only.

NACIMIENTO DEL EXCELENTÍSIMO AYUNTAMIENTO DE JUMILLA

Location: C/ Cánovas del Castillo, 31 (the Town Hall). Open during Town Hall hours.

BELÉN MONUMENTAL E INFANTIL DEL CENTRO CONCERTADO SANTA ANA

Location: C/ Cánovas del Castillo, 6.

Opening times: Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 18.00 to 200.

BELÉN CONVENTO PADRES FRANCISCANOS DE SANTA ANA

Location: the monastery of Santa Ana in the mountains outside Jumilla.

Opening times: Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 to 13.00 and 16.00 to 17.20, Sundays 10.00 to 11.20 and 16.00 to 17.20 and after Mass.

BELÉN DE JOSÉ RUIZ JIMÉNEZ

Location: Avenida de Murcia (alongside CajaMurcia)

Opening times: daily from 18.00 to 20.00.

BELÉN FAMILIA DE MARI CARMEN ABELLÁN

Location: C/ Duque, 47 - 2º.

Opening times: Thursday to Sunday 17.30 to 20.00.

BELÉN VIVENTE

Location: Plaza de la Constitución, the event takes place on 22nd December between 17.00 and 19.00.

NACIMIENTO DE LA PARROQUIA MAYOR DE SANTIAGO

Location: the church of Santiago

Open every day 17.30 to 19.30 except Sundays 10.00 to 13.00.

BELÉN COFRADÍA DE JUDAS

Location: Capilla Beso de Judas, Calle Verónica 16.

Open weekends 18.00 to 19.00 and on Christmas Day and 6^th January in the same timetable.

BELÉN FAMILIA GÓMEZ LOZANO

Location: Parish church of Santiago.

Opening times: daily from 17:30 to 19:30. Also on Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00.
